Position Summary

The Certified Sworn Police Officer will be responsible for enforcing laws, maintaining public order, and providing a high level of security for our clients. This role requires a proactive approach to crime prevention, strong communication skills, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies. The officer will work closely with other security personnel, law enforcement agencies, and community members to ensure a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Enforce local, state, and federal laws while maintaining a visible presence to deter criminal activity.

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to monitor for suspicious activity and ensure safety.

• Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents, providing assistance and coordinating with other emergency services as needed.

• Investigate reported incidents, gather evidence, and prepare detailed reports on findings and actions taken.

• Engage with the community to build trust and rapport, addressing concerns and providing safety education.

• Testify in court as needed regarding incidents and investigations.

• Maintain accurate records of activities and prepare reports for management review.

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with law enforcement practices and regulations.

• Collaborate with other security personnel to ensure comprehensive security coverage and response strategies.

• Utilize technology and communication tools effectively to enhance situational awareness and response capabilities.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified sworn police officer with a valid state-issued law enforcement certification.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in law enforcement or security-related roles preferred.

• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and enforcement procedures.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.

• Proficient in the use of law enforcement technology, including radio communications and computer systems.

• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

• Physical fitness and the ability to meet the physical demands of the job.

Working Conditions

The Certified Sworn Police Officer will work in various environments, including urban, suburban, and rural settings. The position may require working irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as being on call for emergencies. Officers will be expected to work in all weather conditions and may be exposed to hazardous situations.
